SawStop, the #1 cabinet saw company in North America, has a shopping experience unlike any other in the industry. The SawStop Build and Price feature is an interactive online tool where users can build and customize their decked-out dream saw. Users start with their desired base model saw, choose their add-on equipment and accessories, and watch the saw update with their selections right before their eyes. This feature includes hundreds of unique build options across all saw models.
As the art director for this project, I organized a photoshoot with a photographer and a small team of SawStop coworkers to get all the images I needed for this interface. Once my curated shot list was complete, I clipped and composited the hundreds of unique saw build combinations that bring this tool to life. With the help of a digital marketing agency, we refreshed the interface and updated the menus with the new products.
With SawStop’s release of 4 new product lines came the need for a website redesign. I organized an additional large photoshoot to capture fresh and exciting images of the new products in use. I worked closely with the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers and a photographer to get all the images of the new products and their unique configurations.
Working with SawStop’s web development team, I made layout, font, style, and overall look and feel decisions to put all of the design puzzle pieces in place.
Digging into SawStop’s renowned quality required more new imagery and a dedicated piece of the website to highlight each part of what makes SawStop better than the rest.
New imagery. New treatment. Quality feel.
